    Early Childhood Education Apprentice

Hi, I’m Rowan! Working with kids has always been a passion of mine. I started out homeschooling myself and my three younger siblings as a teenager. Through that experience I discovered how rewarding and fun it can be to share my knowledge and love of learning with others.

The apprenticeship program will make it possible for me to continue teaching while also furthering my education with college. I’ve wanted to go to college for years but didn’t know where to start— this program will give me the support I need to take the next step in my life!

I love the individualized teaching style of The Good School. As someone with learning disabilities, I appreciate knowing that both the way I learn and teach will be accepted and valued.

I’m looking forward to working with children because I like being able to teach them new things and see them get excited when they accomplish something or learn a new skill. My hope is that they will look at me as a role model or someone to look up to.

I feel like this apprenticeship will change me for the better because really you can learn as much stuff from kids as they can learn from you, and I’ll be getting real work experience and that will give me the boost I’ll need for my career in the future.

I’m also really looking forward to being able to get college credits and the high school credits simultaneously!
